Legacy Games Store to Cease Operations by February 2027, Ending 'Forever' Ownership Promise
Legacy Games, a digital storefront known for selling bundles of indie and casual titles, has announced it will shut down completely by February 28, 2027. The closure invalidates its marketing claim that purchased games are 'yours to keep forever,' as users must download and install their libraries before the deadline to retain access. While the store served over one million customers with low-cost bundles, the shutdown highlights the fragility of digital ownership when platforms disappear.
