Iceflake Studios, now steering Cities: Skylines 2, unveiled Lego Skylines at Gamescom—a brick-built city-builder focused on deep customization and personal expression, letting players shape roads, services, parks and culture on Lego-style plots; no release date has been announced, as Paradox and the Lego Group position the title to broaden the series’ appeal and help reestablish it after Skylines 2’s rocky launch.
Lego kicked off preorder for three Pokémon sets: Eevee ($59.99), Pikachu & Poké Ball ($199.99), and the 6,838‑piece Venusaur/Charizard/Blastoise set ($649.99). The large set sold out quickly with preorder resuming Feb. 27, while the cheaper two ship on that date. Some scalpers are asking well over $1,000 on resale sites. The Lego‑Pokémon partnership was announced last March and more sets are expected. Fans are mixed on value, praising the scale but criticizing the high price and the absence of smaller sets and minifigures.
LEGO Fortnite is a new survival crafting game developed in partnership between Epic Games and the LEGO Group. Players can create their own worlds using LEGO bricks digitally, with the option of sandbox or survival gameplay. The game features procedurally generated worlds, resource gathering, crafting, and combat mechanics similar to Fortnite Battle Royale. Players can invite friends to their worlds and choose from over 1,200 LEGO-ified Fortnite skins. The game also includes animal interactions, farming, and the ability to build villages and vehicles. LEGO Fortnite is available for free on multiple platforms.
