Mississippi River Floods Across Multiple States.
The Mississippi River has crested at several locations over the past few days, causing flooding in parts of Iowa and Wisconsin. Although the river has started to recede in some areas, it could take days or weeks to go back down below flood stage. Photos show homes surrounded by floodwaters, but only two minor levee breaks were reported, and no homes were damaged. This year's flooding is attributed to an unusually heavy snowpack in the north.
