LA Dodgers Remove Controversial Group from Pride Night After Backlash
The Los Angeles Dodgers have uninvited an LGBTQ charity and drag performance group, the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, from their annual Pride Night after pressure from conservatives, including Sen. Marco Rubio. The group, known for their campy nun cosplay, has raised over a million dollars for nonprofits serving communities in need. The Dodgers cited "people who have been offended by the sisters' inclusion" as the reason for their decision. The Sisters' Los Angeles Mission released a statement saying they were "sad to learn" of the decision.
