YouTube intentionally slows down loading on Firefox, blames ad blockers
YouTube has implemented a new measure to crack down on ad blockers by slowing down the loading time for users with ad blockers installed on any browser. This change was first noticed on Mozilla Firefox, where users experienced significant delays in loading YouTube. Spoofing the user agent to make Firefox appear as Chrome resulted in normal loading times, suggesting that Google intentionally implemented this delay. While Google has not acknowledged the issue, it is believed to be related to the ad-blocker crackdown.
