LSEG investors raise £2.9 billion from share sale
Investors including Blackstone and Thomson Reuters are launching a sale of approximately 28.3 million shares, worth around $2.9 billion, in the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG). This follows a previous sale in May as the investor group aims to offload its stake in LSEG. The consortium, which includes CPPIB and GIC, plans to sell a total of about 43.1 million shares over time through the offering, a directed buyback, and a sale of call options. LSEG also plans to buy back approximately £750 million worth of limited-voting ordinary shares.
