A head-on collision between a black Tesla and a water truck on Loop 1604 in East Bexar County has left the Tesla driver in critical condition. The driver was trapped but was removed and taken to a nearby hospital. The northbound and southbound lanes of Loop 1604 are closed in the area of Highway 87 and FM 3465.
A speeding driver crashed his truck into a concrete wall on Loop 1604 and fled the scene on foot after escaping a fire Saturday night, according to San Antonio police. Witnesses told police that a man was seen jumping out of the truck before it became fully engulfed in flames. He fled the scene on foot. The frontage road was shut down for around half an hour while police investigated the accident.
