The Ultra is expected to use M7 Pro/Max chips (skipping M6 Pro/Max), with a first-gen model likely arriving between October and December 2026 (subject to memory-chip supply), while current M5 Pro/Max MacBook Pros remain on sale and a second-gen Ultra with M7 is anticipated for 2027; Samsung is tipped to supply the OLED panels, and the device will carry a premium price.
