Apple Trials OLED-Touch MacBook Pro with macOS 27.1 Ahead of 2026 Launch
Bloomberg's Mark Gurman reports that Apple is testing 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pro models with touch-enabled OLED displays running macOS 27.1, with a launch expected later in 2026. The lineup is said to include high-end M5 Pro/Max chips, a thinner design, and a Dynamic Island instead of a notch, with MacBook Ultra branding possibly used for the OLED models. The regular 14- and 16-inch models are expected to switch to M7 Pro/Max next year. The first developer beta of macOS 27.1 should arrive soon.
