American Airlines to Boost Premium Seating Across Narrow-Body Fleet
AA plans a major premium-seat expansion on its narrow-body fleet, retrofitting existing aircraft and adding new deliveries to increase premium seats from about 25% to 40%, with 24 first-class seats on Boeing 737 MAX 10s and A321neos (late 2028/2029), more Main Cabin Extra capacity, and a retrofit of interiors including seat back entertainment to be rolled out 2028–2030 and completed by the early 2030s.
