Uber driver charged with arson in Pacific Palisades wildfire
A Florida man, Jonathan Rinderknecht, has been charged with intentionally starting the deadly Palisades Fire in Los Angeles, which caused extensive destruction and loss of life. He was arrested in Florida after evidence including digital devices and AI-generated images linked him to the fire, which burned thousands of homes and resulted in 12 deaths. Rinderknecht allegedly set the fire on New Year's Day after a series of suspicious behaviors and false statements to authorities.
