A shelter-in-place order has been issued for a half-mile radius around the 00 block of Manitou Avenue in Manitou Springs, Colorado, due to a reported disturbance and a standoff with a man in a motel who was reportedly "threatening the public." A heavy police presence is responding, and neighbors in the area are asked to stay in place and secure their homes. No weapon has been seen, and no evacuations have been ordered. The City of Manitou Springs will provide an update at 7:45 p.m.
