Sylvester Stallone to Star in 'Cliffhanger' Reboot with Director Ric Roman Waugh.
Sylvester Stallone is set to star in a sequel to the 1993 action thriller Cliffhanger, with Ric Roman Waugh directing and Mark Bianculli writing the script. Stallone will reprise his role as Ranger Gabriel “Gabe” Walker, with the plot details yet to be revealed. The film will be produced by Neal H. Moritz’s Original Film, Rocket Science, Stallone and Braden Aftergood’s Balboa Productions. The original film grossed over $255M worldwide and premiered in Cannes. Rocket Science will launch foreign sales this month in Cannes, with CAA Media Finance repping North American and Chinese rights.
