Microsoft discontinues $1 Xbox Game Pass Ultimate trial offer.
Microsoft has ended its $1 introductory offer for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. The offer allowed new members to try out the service for a month before renewing at the standard monthly subscription of $14.99 a month for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or $9.99 a month for either PC or console. Xbox is evaluating different marketing promotions for new members in the future. The company is also testing a Friends & Family Plan that will allow subscribers to share a subscription with up to four other friends or family members. Xbox Game Pass' price has held firm for a while, but Xbox's Phil Spencer has hinted at potential price hikes in the future.
