Listeria risk prompts Walmart recall of Marketside Tomato Bisque soup kits
FDA announces a recall of more than 3,000 Marketside 14-ounce Tomato Bisque Soup Kits sold at Walmart after routine testing found Listeria monocytogenes. About 3,240 kits (UPC 194346474004) with a use-by date of Aug. 22, 2026 were distributed to Walmart stores in 29 states from June 30 to July 7. Consumers should not eat the product and should dispose of it or return it for a refund; no illnesses have been reported. Listeria can be serious for pregnant people, older adults, and those with weakened immune systems, so wash hands and sanitize surfaces after handling the product.
