Minecraft Founder Lists Beverly Hills Mansion for Original 2014 Price Amid Luxury Market Cooling
Markus 'Notch' Persson, the creator of Minecraft, has listed his 22,300-square-foot Beverly Hills mansion for $70 million, the exact price he paid in 2014. Despite spending millions on upgrades like a recording studio and nightclub, the Swedish billionaire is seeking to sell the estate in Trousdale Estates. The listing reflects a broader trend of tech billionaires reducing their California ties amid a proposed wealth tax and a cooling luxury market, though Persson’s agent cites personal lifestyle changes as the primary reason.
