Mathew Dumba Hangs Up Skates After 13 NHL Seasons
Mathew Dumba has officially retired from professional hockey after 13 seasons in the NHL. The 32-year-old defenseman, who spent the bulk of his career with the Minnesota Wild, concluded his final season with the Pittsburgh Penguins and their AHL affiliate. Dumba finished his career with 261 points in 748 regular-season games and 15 points in 54 playoff appearances. He cited a desire to focus on his family as the primary reason for his departure, marking the end of a career that included a King Clancy Memorial Trophy win in 2020.
