Surviving Strep: A Doctor's Life-Changing Experience

Dr. Haadi Shuaib, a fit 30-year-old doctor, went into a coma after contracting severe strep-pneumonia and toxic shock syndrome. He was put on an extracorporeal membrane oxygenation machine, which required him to be intubated and put into a coma. After nine days, he was pulled off ECMO and three days later, he was removed from medical ventilation. Shuaib is now healthy and using his experience to help patients undergoing similar medical issues.
