Gibson’s Resurrection Sequel Unveils Jesus Image, Shifts Release Dates
Lionsgate is pushing the two-part sequel The Resurrection of the Christ: Part One from March 26, 2027 to May 6, 2027 and Part Two from May 2027 to May 25, 2028, while revealing Jaakko Ohtonen in the first-look as Jesus; the cast includes Mariela Garriga, Pier Luigi Pasino, Kasia Smutniak, Riccardo Scamarcio and Rupert Everett, with Gibson calling the project a personal mission to tell a pivotal story.
