Larrrain’s ‘My Sad Dead’ Debuts on Netflix as a Social Horror Allegory
Pablo Larraín’s four-episode miniseries 'My Sad Dead' (titled 'Mis Muertos Tristes' in Spanish) premiered on Netflix on September 24, 2026. The series adapts the work of Argentine author Mariana Enriquez, focusing on Ema, a retired doctor in a neglected Buenos Aires neighborhood who can see and hear ghosts. The show uses supernatural elements to critique institutional neglect, violence, and collective apathy in Latin America.
