GO Fest 2026 Mega Finale Unlocks Extra Attacks and Adventure Effects for Mewtwo Forms
Pokémon GO Fest 2026: Mega Finale introduces an additional Charged Attack for eligible Mega‑Evolved Pokémon, with Mega Mewtwo X gaining Dynamic Punch+ and Mega Mewtwo Y gaining Future Sight+ as Adventure Effects (usable even when not Mega Evolved after unlocking). The event also adds new Charged Attacks for other Megas (e.g., Chesnaught Seed Bomb+, Delphox Mystical Fire+, Greninja Surf+, Raichu variants with Volt Tackle+ and Zap Cannon+, Skarmory Drill Peck+, Falinks Brick Break+, Starmie Liquidation+, Victreebel Acid Spray+, Malamar Psybeam+, Dragonite Outrage+). Mega Energy is earned by Mega Raids or walking with a Buddy after Mega Evolving; energy is separate for X and Y forms (e.g., Charizard X needs Charizard Mega Energy X). After the first Mega Evolution, players can Mega Evolve without Mega Energy but can also raise Mega Level for more power; these changes do not yet apply in Gym battles. Mega Mewtwo X raids occur on Sept 5 and Mega Mewtwo Y raids on Sept 6 during the finale, with some catches potentially featuring special backgrounds as Mega Evolution visuals update.
