Russian Microchip Plant Under Attack by Drones
Drones targeted a major Russian microchip plant near the Ukraine border for the second time in just over a week. The plant, Kremnyi El, caught fire in an administrative building, but there were no casualties. Russia's Defense Ministry intercepted two drones, destroying one in mid-air. Kremnyi El is one of Russia's largest microelectronics enterprises and supplies 94% of its production to the Defense Ministry, including components for missile systems. The plant was previously targeted in a wave of drone attacks on August 30.
