The post-position draw for the 2023 Kentucky Derby will take place on Monday at Churchill Downs and will be streamed live on The Courier Journal's website and televised on WAVE-TV. Morning-line odds will be announced by Mike Battaglia, who has correctly predicted the Derby favorite 38 times in 49 opportunities since 1974. Last year's winner, Rich Strike, received the 20th post position.
