Real Madrid Defender Asencio Cleared in Minor-Sex-Tape Trial
Real Madrid defender Raul Asencio was fully acquitted in a trial over allegations of sharing an intimate video involving a minor; prosecutors withdrew all charges after the victims withdrew their complaints. Three former Madrid youth teammates were found guilty of recording and distributing sexual content involving a minor and an 18-year-old, receiving suspended prison sentences, restraining orders, and bans on working with minors. Asencio, who wasn’t accused of filming, faced charges for disclosure and transfer of images, but maintained his innocence. The case stems from a 2023 incident at a Canary Islands beach club.
