Apple has confirmed a cellular connectivity defect affecting a small number of iPhone 18 Pro Max devices on the AT&T network. While iOS 27.0.1 and a new carrier settings update are designed to prevent the issue, they do not restore service for phones that have already lost connectivity. Affected users must return their devices for a free hardware replacement. The problem appears isolated to the Pro Max model, which uses a Qualcomm modem, while the standard Pro model, which uses Apple's C2 modem, remains unaffected.
