Hawaii is watching a new Pacific disturbance that has a 90% chance to become a tropical depression within 48 hours and could be named Moke; while most forecast models keep it south of Hawaii, a track near the Big Island is still possible and would complicate recovery from Hurricane Lala, as El Niño warms the Pacific and raises overall storm activity along with a potential Eastern Pacific system named Iselle.
