Tragic Death of 6-Year-Old on School Bus Leads to Charges Against Bus Monitor
A school bus monitor, Amanda Davila, has been charged with second-degree manslaughter and endangering the welfare of a child after a 6-year-old girl, Fajr Williams, was found unresponsive on the bus and later died. The child's airway became obstructed by the harness of her wheelchair, and it is alleged that Davila was using her phone and wearing earbuds at the time. Fajr had Emanuel syndrome and was nonverbal. Her parents are devastated and seeking justice for their daughter's death. Davila is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.
