Waymo Announces Miami as Next Robotaxi Destination
Waymo, Alphabet's autonomous vehicle division, plans to launch its robotaxi service in Miami by 2026, following years of testing in the city. The company will begin reintroducing its autonomous Jaguar I-Pace vehicles to Miami's streets in 2025, with the service becoming available to riders through the Waymo One app the following year. Fleet management will be handled by Moove, a company backed by Uber. Waymo's expansion into Miami is part of its broader growth strategy, which includes operations in cities like San Francisco and Phoenix, and a planned launch in Atlanta.
