Firefighters make progress containing Las Cocas and Las Tusas fires in Mora County.
The Las Cocas fire in Mora County, which started on May 8, is now at 75% containment with 58 acres burned. Crews are mopping up along the flanks and creating grids to check for hotspots within the interior. The cause of the fire is under investigation. No structures are threatened at this time. Multiple resources and personnel are on scene grading and cutting handlines. A Red Flag Warning is in effect due to higher temperatures and lower humidity.
