Bar-Ilan Professor Indicted for Plotting Mass Expulsion of Arab Israelis
A mathematics lecturer at Bar-Ilan University has been indicted for planning a coordinated terror campaign aimed at forcing the mass expulsion of Arab Israelis and Palestinians. The plot, dubbed 'Ayit,' involved recruiting 72 armed operatives to attack mixed cities and Bedouin towns simultaneously, with the goal of causing hundreds of deaths and triggering a mass exodus to Jordan, Lebanon, and Gaza. The suspect, who was arrested in September 2026, attempted to recruit Zehut party chairman Moshe Feiglin to help recruit members but was rejected. He subsequently sent extortion letters to Feiglin, threatening to damage his reputation ahead of the October 26 elections. Bar-Ilan University suspended the lecturer immediately, condemning the alleged actions as incompatible with its values. Prosecutors charged him with preparing terrorism, extortion, and obstruction of justice.
