PS5 Update Brings Regional Popularity Widgets and a Speaking Indicator
Sony's PS5 system software update 26.06-14.00.00 adds Top 10 and Trending Now widgets to show regional popular games and surging multiplayer modes, plus a Welcome Hub refresh with these widgets. It also adds a 'Display Who’s Speaking' option in Control Center to show who’s talking in party chats and enables Enhanced PSSR Image Quality by default for PS5 Pro. This is the first time Sony surfaces popularity data beyond the Store top sellers to aid discovery, though the exact update cadence and regional availability are still being rolled out.
