Nintendo director Shigeru Miyamoto has hinted at potential future movie plans for the company, stating that there are many possible ways they could go, such as using characters that would be fit for movies or very well-known characters. While he did not name any specific characters, Nintendo's all-star roster of characters includes Samus, Link, and Kirby, among others. The success of The Super Mario Bros. Movie has led to talks of a sequel, with Bowser actor Jack Black suggesting Pedro Pascal for the role of Wario.
