Mt. Shasta Kidnapping: Father and Son Face Federal Charges
A father and son, Joseph and Phoenix Henrichsen, kidnapped two U.S. Forest Service workers near Mt. Shasta, holding them hostage for about 15 hours in a trailer before they surrendered. Federal charges of kidnapping have been filed; the victims were freed unharmed after negotiations with law enforcement, including the FBI’s Hostage Rescue Team, and investigators are probing the motive.
