"Tragic 'Super Fog' Pileup Claims 7 Lives on Louisiana Highway"
A "super fog" caused a massive multi-car pileup on Interstate 55 near New Orleans, Louisiana, resulting in seven fatalities and over 25 injuries. The crash involved at least 158 vehicles and was caused by heavy fog conditions. Several highways, including Interstate 10 and Interstate 310, were closed as a result. The fog was a combination of smoke from marsh fires and dense fog, leading to extremely low visibility. Emergency crews worked to clear debris from the crash scene, and the fog dissipated later in the morning. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
