Predicting Women's Aging Rate Using Molecular Indicators
Researchers from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Quzhou People's Hospital have used multi-omics profiling to track aging markers in women. The study identified four aging modalities linked to chronic inflammation, lipid metabolism, hormone regulation, and tissue fitness. Waves of changes in these pathways were observed, peaking around the third and fifth decades of life. The study also found that hormone replacement therapy may decelerate aging in women. The findings provide insights into the mechanisms of accelerated or delayed aging and could help predict age-related changes using omics modeling.
