Tesla short sellers lose billions during stock's winning streak
Tesla's 13-day winning streak has created a multibillion-dollar headache for short sellers, with the stock more than doubling so far this year. While there has been an increase in short selling for all of 2023, recent short covering has been observed as the stock price rallies, making it an unprofitable trade for Tesla short sellers, according to financial analytics firm S3 Partners.
