Netflix is developing a drama series based on Roald Dahl’s adult short stories, expanding its Dahl IP after acquiring the Roald Dahl Story Company. The cast includes Nicola Coughlan, Naomi Scott, Dominic West, Imelda Staunton and more, with Danny Brocklehurst writing and Orchid Pictures producing alongside Netflix. The series reimagines Dahl’s macabre tales for a contemporary setting; the official logline follows a young couple in a faded seaside town as they navigate conmen, adulterers, murderous mothers and snake charmers while trying to escape their fate.
