Wizards Overhauls MTG Boosters for 2027 with God Packs and Price-Free Changes
Wizards of the Coast announced major changes to Magic: The Gathering booster packs starting in 2027. The 'Play Booster' name is being simplified to 'Booster Pack,' and foil commons and uncommons are being removed from standard packs. A new 'God Pack' variant, containing only rares and mythic rares, will be introduced at a 1-in-1,000 rate for standard boosters and 1-in-300 for Collector Boosters. These changes begin with the 'Nauctis: The Sunken Realm' set and will not affect 2027 Universes Beyond releases like Star Trek. Prices remain unchanged.
