Brewers land Naylor and Heuer from Guardians in early deadline deal
The Milwaukee Brewers acquired catcher Bo Naylor and reliever Codi Heuer from the Cleveland Guardians in exchange for relievers Craig Yoho and outfielder Blake Perkins. Naylor and Heuer will start in Milwaukee’s AAA Nashville; Yoho has a 2.15 ERA with 18 strikeouts in 15 relief appearances this season, while Perkins has batted .157 in 55 games. Naylor is a career .199 hitter, and Heuer owns a 4.66 ERA in eight appearances this year. The move adds youth and future control beyond 2026 for Milwaukee.
