Edwards Exits Re-Election Bid Amid Ethics Scrutiny
Rep. Chuck Edwards announced on X that he will not seek re-election to North Carolina’s 11th District U.S. House seat and will finish his current term after the House Ethics Committee recommended a censure for violating conduct rules by making unwanted advances toward staffers (no evidence of sexual activity or propositions). The North Carolina GOP will convene the 11th District Executive Committee next week to select a Republican nominee for the November ballot.
