Late-Night Hosts Skip Live Midterm Coverage for First Time Since 2002
No major late-night talk show will broadcast live during the 2026 midterm elections, ending a 24-year tradition. NBC and CBS will preempt their programs with news coverage, while ABC and Comedy Central will air pre-taped episodes that may be interrupted for breaking news.
