Former University of Kentucky cheerleader Laken Snelling pleaded not guilty to charges tied to the death of her newborn, including manslaughter, tampering with evidence, concealment of birth, and abuse of a corpse. Chicago police are investigating the deaths of two newborn girls who were found unresponsive in a bathroom at a daycare facility on the campus of Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Streeterville. The babies were pronounced dead at Lurie Children's Hospital, and it is unclear whose children they were or what happened before first responders arrived. Northwestern Memorial officials stated that no children at the facility were involved in the incident, which is being treated as an emergency medical situation involving a daycare employee. No one is currently in custody.
