The NFL is eliminating the Pro Bowl after 75 years but will still name 88 all-stars through standard voting and invite them to a February celebration in Los Angeles; there will be no alternates, as the league seeks to restore the Pro Bowl’s prestige while continuing to honor top players.
Texas A&M Athletics Hall of Famer Keith Mitchell, a standout linebacker who helped the Aggies win the 1993 Southwest Conference title and go 10-0-1 in 1994, has died. A four-year letterman (1993-96), he earned All-SWC in 1995 and All-Big 12/All-America honors in 1996, finished with 34 career sacks (fourth all-time) and 14.5 sacks in 1996, was inducted into the Texas A&M Athletics Hall of Fame in 2015, and later played seven NFL seasons (Saints, Texans, Jaguars), earning Pro Bowl honors after the 2000 season.
Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce and his family, including wife Kylie and their three daughters, enjoyed a trip to Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida ahead of the NFL Pro Bowl. The family dressed in Disney-themed attire and met characters from "Frozen" at EPCOT. While Jason won't be playing in this year's Super Bowl, his brother Travis Kelce will be competing with the Kansas City Chiefs, and Jason and Kylie have been supporting him throughout the playoffs, even meeting Travis' girlfriend, Taylor Swift, at a game.
