The Detroit Lions unveiled a new white rivalry uniform as part of the NFL’s rivalry program, with Honolulu blue and black accents and “Defend the den” on the collar; the Minnesota Vikings will wear their own purple-ivory rival kit when visiting. The Lions host the Vikings on Nov. 1 at 1 p.m. and the Vikings host the Lions on Dec. 20 at 8:20 p.m. The jerseys go on sale Sept. 1 and will remain in the lineup for three years.
Detroit Lions’ 2026 Rivalries jersey was leaked ahead of the official reveal, with Fox News/Outkick posting images sourced from Fanatics. The Lions later confirmed the drop at 10 a.m. ET via promotional video that paired the almost-all-white jersey with carbon-fiber-like Honolulu Blue numbers, featuring a “DETROIT” stamp above the player number, and shown with gray pants and an alternate blue helmet. Described by the team as a futuristic nod to Detroit’s automotive heritage and the defensive-mentality branding, the design is a departure from recent looks. The uniform will be worn in Week 8 vs. the Vikings (Nov. 1), while Minnesota will wear a Rivalries variant when hosting the Lions in Week 15 (SNF). Fans can view a gallery and a dedicated uniforms site and are invited to vote on the look.
