Blanchard Details Dee Dee’s Final Words Before the 2015 Murder
Gypsy Rose Blanchard recounts on the We Need to Talk podcast the night her mother Dee Dee Blanchard was killed in 2015 by Dee Dee’s boyfriend Nicholas Godejohn. She describes hearing screams, the line of last words including a possible question of “Who are you?” and the chilling moment when Godejohn reportedly said “I am death” before stabbing Dee Dee. Blanchard was hiding in a bathroom during the attack; Dee Dee died in June 2015. Godejohn is serving a life sentence, and Blanchard served eight years in prison before her 2023 release.
