Hulu’s The Testaments reimagines Daisy as a new Gilead insider and Mayday spy with a Toronto upbringing, while book Daisy is June’s daughter Nichole (aka Holly)—a character not in the TV series due to the show’s shorter timeline. Showrunner Bruce Miller says the changes fit the four-year TV gap, with Daisy’s spy reveal in episode 1 and deeper backstory in episode 3.
