Samsung is racing with Apple to develop noninvasive glucose monitoring and continuous blood pressure checking, aiming to incorporate health features into a range of devices, including the newly announced Galaxy Ring. The company hopes to provide consumers with a complete picture of their well-being via sensors on different parts of the body and around the home. Samsung's executive Hon Pak stated that they are putting significant investment toward these developments and are exploring various technology platforms for glucose monitoring. Apple has also been working on similar health technology, and both companies are also looking to improve blood pressure monitoring.
