Wildfires Prompt Evacuations at Grand Canyon and Nearby Parks
A wildfire called the White Sage fire has burned over 19,000 acres near the Grand Canyon, leading to the closure of the North Rim access point during peak tourist season, although the fire is not within the park itself. Another fire, the Dragon Bravo fire, is also burning inside the park with zero containment, but the South Rim remains open.
