Fatal Highway 50 shooting ends Sacramento County pursuit, closes freeway
After a late-night pursuit through Rancho Cordova and Fair Oaks, officers from CHP, Citrus Heights Police, and the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office shot the driver on Highway 50 at Hazel Avenue; the driver died at a hospital, and westbound Highway 50 was closed for several hours during the investigation.
