Netflix Launches Queenstown as Its First New Zealand Original
Netflix has kicked off production on its first locally commissioned New Zealand series, Queenstown, an eight-episode drama set in the resort town’s luxe ski scene. Created by Chloe Stearns and directed by Glendyn Ivin and Roseanne Liang, the ensemble cast includes Rufus Sewell, Frances O’Connor, Alycia Debnam-Carey and Te Kohe Tuhaka. Filmed on location in Queenstown, the show follows a wealthy family and their staff as power, loyalty and desire collide. Backed by the New Zealand Film Commission and the Screen Production Rebate, a premiere date hasn't been announced.
